Alicia: What is it exactly that you teach us?

Teacher: Math. Calculus begins now.

(At which point, the lights go out.

Scene Five
The storm misses the school and classes finally start. There are seven teachers who seem sort of stupid-- until the military brats, VICTORIA and JACK ARCHER, plot to escape the school and accidentally stumble across two of the teachers who enter an underground lab. Shortly, a radio telescope rises up out of a hill a mile or two outside the school.

Narrator: The storm passed over the school, the power came back on, and the students of La Academia De La Diosa Del Sol are safe at last. But there’s a new threat on the horizon--- classes.

JACK: {visibly stressed} Oh man, lessons start today.

CODY: I know. What do you have for the first hour?

JACK: Science. Otherwise known as my worst subject.

VICTORIA: {rolling her eyes} You’re such a baby.

JACK: {in a whiny voice} I am not!

ALICIA: {enters room} Hey, Tori. Can you, um, come to help me organize my books?

VICTORIA: Yeah, sure.

ALICIA: {pulls Victoria into the room} Okay, what was up with the trap door?

VICTORIA: Huh?

ALICIA: From last night! You know, in the bathroom?

VICTORIA: {confused} What about the books?

ALICIA: That was just an excuse, I’ve obviously already organized my books. I just didn’t want to talk about the door in front of the boys.

VICTORIA: Okay, let’s go in and investigate tomorrow morning.

ALICIA: Cool---

VICTORIA: {interrupts} But you have to give me your cookie tonight at dinner.

ALICIA: Ugh, fine. Let’s get to class.

VICTORIA: First-hour history?

ALICIA: Unfortunately.

NARRATOR: And with that, lessons started. And dragged on. And on. And on. Finally, it was time for dinner.

JACK: {walking out of English} Yessss, the food at last---

VICTORIA: {grabs him and pulls him behind a tree}

JACK: {struggling} Help! Help! Kidnapping! Help!

VICTORIA: Shut up, dummy!

JACK: {relaxes} Oh, Victoria. It’s you. Thank gosh.

VICTORIA: Yep.

JACK: Wait, now that I know my life isn’t in danger, what are you doing?

VICTORIA: Listen. I want out of here, and you’re coming with me.

JACK: W-what? But, dinner---

VICTORIA: {interrupts him} Alicia will bring us food. Right now, we need to make an escape plan.

JACK: But I like it here!

VICTORIA: {sighing} Something seems strange about this place. I’m leaving, whether you’re with me or not.

JACK: Fine. I’m with you.

NARRATOR: The siblings sat in silence until Jack suddenly gasped.

JACK: Hey, what are they doing?

NARRATOR: Victoria turned to look at what he was staring at.

VICTORIA: It’s two teachers, but where are they going?

NARRATOR: Jack and Victoria watched in surprise as the two teachers disappeared underground. Minutes later, a radio telescope rose out of the ground.

JACK: I have a very, very bad feeling about this, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to end.
