“What did you find out?” asked Hobo Joe.  

“I found out that the Monster Realm has its own Elemental Asteroid,” Thomas answered, “They have their own elemental super-beings, who they call their Elites.  I was nearly killed by the Elites, but I teleported back just in time. We have to launch a raid on them, just weaken their defenses, but there is a pretty big chance that we will lose someone.”

“We have to tell the others!” exclaimed Hobo Joe, “Let’s see who volunteers to go.”  They went outside into the Main Square, and called the strongest heroes of each element.  Steven Bolt, Samuel Inferno, and Jonathan Winter arrived, as well as a dark looking hero, a rock hero, and a magic hero.  There were also two female superheroes, one wind hero and one light superhero. The dark hero introduced himself as Willliam Moonlight, the rock hero as Bruce Quake, the magic hero as Anthony Mind, the wind hero as Katie Cyclone, and the light hero as Sadie Shine.  Steven, Samuel, Jonathan, Bruce, and Katie volunteered to go on the raid.  

“Let me go too!” said Hobo Joe.

“No, Hobo Joe.  You must stay behind to train and protect the Academy.  Your powers are not yet fully developed, and can be uncontrollable,” said Thomas, “And now, we must go.”  In a bright flash, the team of heroes were gone.

“Oh well, nothing left to do, I guess,” thought Hobo Joe as he slowly trudged back to the Unusual Ability Center.  Meanwhile, Bruce, Steven, Samuel, Jonathan, Katie, and Thomas were in the Monster Realm. They flew all around the Realm and finally found the Elites.  They charged at the Elites, blasting them with water, lightning, fire, ice, and wind. Bruce stayed on the ground, shattering the Elites’ defenses with earthquakes.  The Elites retaliated ferociously, pummeling the heroes with magic and darkness. Finally, the heroes were forced to retreat, but not without taking the lives of three Elites.  However the retreat was harder than it seemed, as the Elites were still attacking them and they were pinned. Bruce rose up on a rock platform and created a giant rock wall, distracting the Elites while the others flew away.

“Bruce, come with us!” yelled Thomas, “We can’t leave you here!”

“It’s the only way!” called back Bruce, “I have to do it!”

“No, Bruce!” yelled Thomas.

“I’m gonna do it!” yelled Bruce

“NO, BRUCE!!!!” yelled Thomas.  Bruce focused all his energy into the fragment of the Elemental Asteroid inside him.  Bruce’s life and body became pure energy, the shard became an enormous rock, with the same volume as a continent, and fell on all the Elites. 

“We have to go,” said Thomas darkly, “Bruce sacrificed himself to let us escape.  We can’t let his sacrifice go to waste.” The heroes left the Monster Realm, and back at the Academy, they had a funeral for Bruce.  Hobo Joe’s powers had gotten so strong that he could grow to fifty times his own size.  

“We may be able to bring Bruce back to life, though,” said Thomas.

“Really? How?” asked Hobo Joe.
